1x + 3x + 4x = 8x

8x = 56

x = 7

1(7) = 7
3(7) = 21
4(7) = 28

Check: 7 + 21 + 28 = 56

So 56 can be divided in the ratio of 1:3:4, and it will be 7, 21, 28
