Find the solution set for this inequality
14 - 3x < -1

Hello there!

14 - 3x < -1

Let start by subtracting 14 from both sides

14 - 14 - 3x < -1 - 14

-3x < -15

Then divide both sides by -3

-3x/-3 < -15/-3

x > 5

Why did I change the sign from this < to that >

Well, when we divide by a negative number, we MUST change the sign as well.
